Sania Mirza Retires Hurts In Her First Round Match In The Olympic Games

Sania Mirza had to retire hurt during her first round match in the Beijing Olympic Games because of a wrist injury. Sania was trailing Czech Iveta Benesova 1-6 1-2. The injury could also force Sania to miss her doubles first round match tomorrow. Sania is scheduled to play along with her partner Sunitha Rao against the French pair of Tatiana Golovin and Pauline Permentier. Top seed, Ana Ivanovic also had to withdraw from the single match due to a thumb injury. American Lindsey Davenport also pulled out of the singles and Maria Sharapova did not even make the trip to China becuase of her shoulder injury.

Deepika Padukone has been selected the winner of the worlds most famous list. The world”s largest Men’s magazine Maxim India has decided to debut the list in India with LG Scarlet as the title presenters. Deepika was choosen from reader reaction, industry feedback along with other factors. Deepika joins ikes of previous no 1’s Lindsay Lohan, , Eva Longoria, , Marissa Miller, who have topped the list. Deepika Padukone is also a new comer to the Indian film inductry with her debut film last year Om Shanti Om (2007) and second movie will be Bachna Ae Haseenon (2008) is due for release Aug 15.

Shilpa Shetty To Host Season 2 Of Big Boss

Shilpa Shetty the winner of the Big Brother UK, will be the host of Bigg Boss 2 Indian version of the show. The show will star to air on TV on August 17, it will also make it the first reality show to be telecast on all seven days of the week. The show is have 14 people locked into a house under the surveillance of over 30 cameras for a period of three months.

The movie was about the political issues, and the power games played by the politicians against each other and starred Amitabh Bachchan , Abhishek Bachchan and Aishwarya Rai Bachchan in the pivtol roles. India Levels Series By Beating Sri Lanka

India won the second match against Sri Lanka by 170 runs to level the three game series 1 to 1. The match was played at Galle International Cricket Ground. Virender Sehwag was named the man of the match after scoring an unbeaten 201 to lead India. Sri Lanka was given 2 full days to chase the score of 307 runs, but the Sri Lankans collapsed for 136 an hour before the close of day 4. Harbhajan Singh gave some twist and turns to the balls to pick up 10 wickets in the match.

Sania Mirza is having some difficultly with coming back from her injugries. Sania has hard some tough losses in early rounds of big tournements. Today was no difference, the Indian ace, Sania, lost in three sets to Czech Iveta Benesova in the second round. Sania had won the first set 4-6 but could not finish the match and Iveta won the last two sets 6-3, 6-3. The Hyderabadi girl had already lost in her doubles match just in the first round.

TV Reality show, Star Voice of India, winner Ishmeet Singh passed away Tuesday apparently by drowning in a hotel swimming pool in the Maldives. He was in the Maldives to sing at a musical concert on Friday. Ishmeet had been in the shallow pool meant for children but later jumped into the deep end of the main swimming pool and had immediately run into difficulty.
The question in everyone’s mind is that how come no one was to recuse him?

Shilpa Shetty Could Host Season 2 Of Big Boss

Shilpa Shetty the winner of the Big Brother UK, may be offered to host the next season of Bigg Boss 2 in India. Bigg Boss was last year hosted by Arshad Warsi. If Shilpa chooses to host the show, she could be paid more then Rs 8 Crores. Bigg Boss (India) will start after Fear Factor Khatron Ke Khiladi, , hosted by Akshay Kumar , ends in August 2008. The new season of Bigg Boss will air on newly launched channel, Colors.
