Aamir Khan In Tears At Award Ceremony

Recently at the 11th Gollapudi Srinivas Award function at the Kamaraj Arangam, Chennai Aamir Khan was awarded the award for the Best Debutant Director for Taare Zameen Par (2008) , along with a check for Rs 1.5 lakh. Known for his generosity, Aamir immediately handed the check over to the MGR Film Institute in Chennai as a gift. Earlier in the ceremony Aamir came to tears after hearing the speech from doyen of Tamil cinema K Balachander saying good things about the up and coming director, Ammir Khan.

I was one among the audience at the award function. and was lucky to see Aamir in tears (only in films can any one see him) His voice choked and couldnt able to say a word when it was his turn of speech. He was left speechless. Was great nostaligic moment for all who were present on stage and off stage. K.Balachander Speech humourous and touching speech left everyone in splits and in tears. Only he can compliment the actor like aamir.
One shud have been lucky to see all this in person right from Jagjit singh Gazals to Aamir Khan speech. It was every moment of Joy to watch Aamir khan with different expressions at every point of time.

aamir deserves that award. hez a fantastic actor. he is the real king khan. srk who boasts of himself as king khan knows zilch about acting n directing. way 2 go aamir. waiting for aamirs ghazini. have already seen in telugu. its awesome..cant wait to c what aamir has done to that role with rehman pulling the musical strings. gud luck aamir
Amir Khan is a superb actor and is extremely intelligent. He is a legend in the making. Amir Khan is the only actor who comes close to Dilip Khan Sahib in comparisions to talent.
There were many big names after Dilip Sahib but no one could match his histronics. Amir Khan is in a league of his own, he never needed big name directors or power packed production houses to back him up. Amir made no name directors into brand name directors.
Allah has bestowed upon him with great blessings. He is focussed and has the vision to to do great work. It takes smarts and devine help to achieve success, Amir has both! Way to go Amir Khan!!!. He never compromises and never ever paricicpates in the Indian awards system. I simply admire his strength to shun the so called shallow Indian awards, which are biased anyway. He leaves the awards to the lesser talented artists to hog their limelight and enjoy the cheap exposure.
Amir Khan’s work is an institution in itself and he does not need fake adulation from the silly judges or mindless critics.
The future is yours, Amir. Mould it the way you want and the competition from other actors, virtually does not exist. They are miles behind.
