Will Rani really be saying HADIPPA

Its no secret that Rani Mukherjee is a favourite of the Yash Raj camp and a particular Chopra too, but the once hip, hot and happening actress is no longer as slim and trim as she once used to be. Rani’s last few releases be it - Laaga Chunari Mein, KANK and even Thoda Pyaar Thoda Magic haven’t really been up to the mark and the lusty lady is being forgotten amongst the new trend setters in Bollywood, be it Deepika Padukone, Kareena Kapoor or even Priyanka Chopra. The promo’s of her latest offering show Rani in a new light and looks like she’s put in a lot of effort to look the way she is looking. However she must be desperately clinching her fists and praying that the hard work she has put into this movie pays off as she very certainly needs a hit to her name. If the film sinks could it possibly be that she will also sink with it. Unfortunately age catches up with everyone and lets face it with SRK romancing a younger girl each time could it be that there is no longer room for this Mukherjee in Mumbai?Don’t get me wrong she’s a fantastic actress and has some magnificent hits to her name. But could it be that she is no longer the reigning Rani she used to be?
Loving Love Aaj Kal

Ok, so there haven’t been many great releases out of bollywood so far apart from New York, and after watching Kambakkht Ishq I was actually afraid of going to the cinemas and disliking Love Aaj Kal but the effect was quite the opposite. What was not to like about this movie???I mean Deepika looked fab, Saif’s acting was superb, the music was sensational and saving the best till last the direction was mindblowing. I loved how Imtiaz took two simple stories and merged them into one. The way he told the story was so interesting and I can’t help but call him one of my directors even though he may only have had three releases to date. Saif Ali Khan as Veer was perfect, his mannerisms, his dialogue delivery, everything was perfect and actually I would go as far as saying that I think bar the Deols he portrays the character of the sardarji the best on screen. There were a few odd bits i didn’t like in the movie but this is just me knitpicking I suppose. For example I didn’t quite understand Deepika’s weird urge to speak to Jai after she got married it was slightly weird. And I would have loved to see the old story (Rishi Kapoors) a little bit more. But apart from that great movie! and the guest appearance of Neetu Kapoor made it a little more extra special - perhaps they could have also introduced Ranbir as there son - but then maybe thats going a bit too far. lolAny way i’d love to hear what other people thought about the movie…

So the excitement is already evident over the release of the next Akshay - Katrina starrer Singh is King. Its no secret that this hit jodi of bollywood is ruling the box office at the minute. We had Humko Deewana Kar Gaye, Namaste London, Welcome, and now ‘SIK’. Will the chemistry between this pair sizzle on screen, after all no one can deny that the last movie bought to us by Vipul Shah starring Namaste London was a big winner and had great music and did fantastic at the box office. Vipul Shah has bought us great movies and Katrina is one of the most sought after actresses in bollywood at the minute. However the real show stopper is Akshay Kumar…..he is undoubtedly one of the most successful stars of last year and continues to rule the overseas box office where his success is compared to that of the ‘Khans’. What do you think - is the movie going to be the next big blockbuster -or are we tired of seing the Akki- Kat pair on screen and craving for something different??Let m know your thoughts…..
Does Kareena have any right to gloat at the failure of LoveStory 2050?

It was recently reported in the news that Kareena Kapoor publicly announced that she was glad that LoveStory 2050 didn’t do so well and was almost gloating. The reason being that she had in fact first been offered Priyanka Chopra’s role in the movie, but wasn’t too keen on the script and so had asked Mr Baweja to make a few minor changes but he stood his ground like a true director. Anyway as we know the audience is pretty much divided with the movie, while some have suggested that the special effects and the efforts of the newcomer Harman Baweja are almost marvellous, others have resorted to saying that there are more special effects than substance in the movie. But if truth be told then does Kareena have any right to be so smug? As far as I and I’m sure many others remember Tashan was a complete dud at the box office and in my opinion was even worse. The Yash Raj camp have a lot of recovery after the release of that one. Though Kareena did look fab in the movie - so did Priyanka in LoveStory 2050. So far the score is settled. Lets see who churns out the next hit then……..
