Earlier this week we reported that the much awaited sequel to the 2015 epic drama Bahubali would be releasing next year on April 14. While the wait to find out why Kattappa killed Bahubali seems to be interminable, we give our surfers a sneak peek at the behind the scenes making of Bahubali. Directed by SS. Rajamouli, Bahubali boasted of top notch visual effects that covered the film into a viewing experience. However, it was not easy task to recreate the immense magnitude of certain shots evident from the images. Starting off is the film's first look that was released featuring a hand emerging from the foaming sea holding an infant aloft. Interestingly the shot was first captured with just a hand holding a bottle of water that was later replaced via layer masking to include a baby. While the mesmerizing sky line in the background was done with the help of matte paining.
The sequence of Kattappa going head to head with a raging bull was first shot using a wire structure for the bull with a green screen background. Later the wire structure with replaced with a CG bull, with the green screen changed to resemble a gladiator ring.

The romance between Avanthika and Bahubali was one of the high points of the film; however the sequence in the forest near the waterfall was not easy. In fact for the scene where Prabhas leaps from a cliff to hold Tamannah's hand was shot using cranes and ropes to hold up his character while the background was later added in to replace the green screen.
While the VFX did involve building a bit of structure, which is evident from the scene that featured Prabhas walking along a narrow ledge on a cliff, was later recreated to look like he was much higher on a sheer cliff side.
The sequence with Tamannaah Bhatia's character Avanthika is perused by Bahubali with a waterfall in the background was shot with simple green screens that were later replaced to resemble the waterfall.
