Today the Ramesh Sippy directed 1975 film Sholay is classified as a classic. Even during its day, the film which starred none other than Dharmendra and Amitabh Bachchan in lead roles was hailed as path breaking film. Now years on, veteran actor Amitabh Bachchan who since then has gone on to feature in multiple cinematic outings took to social media sharing a throwback image.

Posting an image that features Dharmendra and himself on the social networking site Instagram, the legendary actor who seems to be on the ball when it comes to social media, shared an image from the sets of Sholay. Captioning the image Amitabh Bachchan added, “Rehearsing for SHOLAY”. While seeing an image that was taken close to 41 years ago, Amitabh Bachchan and Dharmendra have also been seen together in other film like Naseeb and Chupke Chupke. However, their roles as Jai and Veeru from Sholay are still regarded as iconic characters till date.

Back on the film front, Amitabh Bachchan will next be seen sharing screen space with Aamir Khan, Katrina Kaif and Fatima Sana Sheikh in the film Thugs of Hindostan followed by the film 102 Not Out wherein he will be seen with Rishi Kapoor.
