The duo wed in two styles – the traditional Konkani style as Deepika hails from Bangalore and the Sindhi or North Indian style for the Bhavnani family. With varied shades of red imbibing seamlessly in our picture perfect moment, we see Deepika sporting the bright red chura and gold-toned kaleeras. The Punjabi chooda or chura constitutes a part of the bride’s solah shringar and is a harbinger of good luck. Meanwhile, the umbrella-shaped hangings or kaleeras signify eternal love between the newlyweds and symbolizes wealth and prosperity.
