It was only last month that Ekta Kapoor was awarded the ‘Top Business Leader’ honor at Business Today's Most Powerful Women in Indian Business Awards for the second consecutive year. The producer who revolutionized the digital platform is also heavily invested in her motion picture productions. Ekta, recently visited the sets of her upcoming film Kedarnath, which is being directed by Abhishek Kapoor and is being shot extensively across virgin locations in Uttarakhand.

The producer took time out from her busy schedule to meet the team of the film, director Abhishek Kapoor and leads Sushant Singh Rajput and Sara Ali Khan. Ekta Kapoor also visited the holy temple of Kedarnath and did darshan since the shoot of the anticipated film is in full swing and shaping up like the makers envisioned. Commenting on the film Ekta added, “With Kedarnath, Gattu [Kapoor] will take the audience on an emotional journey. The film is overwhelming and meaningful, and is the kind of immersive cinema we need today.”

Both Ekta Kapoor's Balaji motion pictures and Kriarj Entertainment have been hands-on producers on the film. After the success of Kai Po Che, Abhishek Kapoor and Sushant Singh Rajput team up for Kedarnath, an intense love story set in the northern part of India. Produced by Balaji Motion Pictures, KriArj Entertainment and Guy In The Sky Pictures the film went on floors in the first week of September.
