Karan Johar’s Kalank is going to be a grand affair and the Dharma Productions head honcho is leaving no stone unturned to make sure that it turns out to be a masterpiece. Directed by Abhishek Varman of 2 States fame, the film has a stellar case including Madhuri Dixit-Sanjay Dutt, Alia Bhatt-Varun Bhatt, Sonakshi Sinha-Aditya Roy Kapur. Kalank is set in 1940s and is a period drama. According to sources, Madhuri will be playing a courtesan in the film and her leaked look from the sets gives us an ideal on what her role will be all about.

Madhuri Dixit is dressed in a beautiful Anarkali and her hair flows beautifully with a pasa adorning it. These pictures do give us Chandramukhi feels from Devdas and makes us even more excited for the film. Kalank’s concept was first envisioned by Karan and his dad Yash Johar and it has been an emotional journey now that the idea is finally taking shape into something really interesting. This movie has garnered buzz because it is for the first time that Madhuri and Sanjay will share screen space after decades! Given their controversial history, it sure has become a talking point amongst their fans.

On professional front, Madhuri has made a smashing comeback on the big screen with Bucket List in Marathi and will also be seen in Total Dhamaal.
