Toilet – Ek Prem Katha starring Akshay Kumar and Bhumi Pednekar released a week ago in China. The Shree Narayan Singh directed film which was retitled to Toilet Hero for the Chinese market has been doing rather well. After opening on a good note, the business of the film saw growth over its opening weekend at the China box office.
Now on its seventh day, Toilet Hero has managed to rake in a further USD 0.86 million [Rs. 5.84 cr]. Interestingly, unlike the previous days, the business of Toilet – Ek Prem Katha has seen a big dip in collections, dropping down to the fourth spot on the daily highest grossers list at the China box office. However, despite this, the total collections of Toilet Hero at the China box office are pegged at USD 13.43 million [Rs. 91.31 cr].
As of now, with new releases hitting screens in China, Toilet – Ek Prem Katha is likely to see collections dip further. But given the current trend, it is expected that the business of the film will cross the Rs. 100 cr mark by the end of the weekend.
