The Rahul Dholakia directed film Raees starring Shah Rukh Khan released on January 25. The film which has been receiving positive reviews since its release has been going strong at the box office. In fact after opening on a high note, Raees managed to entice the audience and remained as their preferred choice over the weekend.
In this box office report we take a look at the Opening Weekend collection of Raees while comparing the same to Shah Rukh Khan’s previously released films. Collecting Rs. 93.24 cr, Raees ranks as Shah Rukh Khan’s third highest opening weekend grosser. Though the film that released on Wednesday enjoyed an extended weekend, it does not manage to surpass the weekend collections of SRK’s previous releases like Happy New Year that collected Rs. 108.86 cr and Chennai Express that collected Rs. 100.42 cr.
On the other hand, Raees does manage to surpass the actor’s other releases like Ra.One that collected Rs. 92 cr, Jab Tak Hai Jaan that collected Rs. 80.73 cr, Dilwale that collected Rs. 65.09 cr and Fan that collected Rs. 52.35 cr.
