The Meghna Gulzar directed film Raazi that is based on the book Calling Sehmat released a while back. Starring Alia Bhatt and Vicky Kaushal the film has found acceptance among both the audience and critics alike. After opening on a steady note the business of Raazi continued to see good growth on its opening weekend and first week as well. Now after its second weekend running the film has managed to hold strong at the box office with collections far exceeding expectations.
In this box office report we take a look at the worldwide collections of Raazi while comparing the same to previously released films in 2018. Collecting a massive Rs. 130.84 cr at the worldwide box office Raazi has managed to out beat the business of the Akshay Kumar starrer Pad Man that had collected Rs. 130.42 cr. Though currently the margin between the collections of the two films is rather miniscule with Raazi still running in cinemas it is expected to widen the gap.
However, on the other hand the business of Raazi does not manage to surpass the worldwide collections of other releases like Padmaavat that collected Rs. 571.98 cr, Baaghi 2 that collected Rs. 254.31 cr, Raid that collected Rs. 153.62 cr, and Sonu Ke Titu Ki Sweety that had collected Rs. 152.75 cr. But with no competition from newer Bollywood releases Raazi is expected to continue to rake in the moolah in the coming few days.
