The fate is pretty much sealed for Noor, what with just Rs. 75 lakhs* coming on Monday. If the start on Friday was anyways an all time low for a notable release in 2017, the Monday has turned out to be poorest ever for a major release. One can't remember the last time a film with a known star had collected so low right through the weekend and then into the weekdays. However, the issue with Noor is that it has not even been seen, leave aside being criticized - either positively or negatively. There is just no word of mouth whatsoever for the film which reflects in the weekend numbers of Rs. 6.27 crore*.
The Ghazi Attack had netted Rs. 6.7 crore over the weekend and Noor is yet to reach that number even after being in theaters for four days now. It is going to be one swift movement out of theaters for the Sunhil Sippy directed film since Baahubali 2: The Conclusion arrives this Friday and that would be practically occupying all screens available at its disposal.
Nonetheless, Sonakshi Sinha has been appreciated for her act and that would be one silver-lining for her. She would now be quickly moving on to her next film Ittefaq which comes from the house of Karan Johar and has Sidharth Malhotra opposite her. That film should make some good buzz en route its arrival.
