The Aamir Khan starrer Dangal that released last year in December rocked the box office with collections reaching an all-time high. In fact the Nitesh Tiwari directed film managed to enter the Rs. 100 crore club within three days of its release. But if that wasn’t all, Dangal that received rave reviews from the critics and the audience alike continued its march at the box office despite new releases hitting screens.
Now at the end of its sixth week running, Dangal has crossed the Rs. 385 cr mark as we had predicted, by collecting Rs. 1.19 cr at the end of its sixth weekend culminating in a total collection of Rs. 385.06 cr. With this Dangal now firmly leads the chart as the Highest All time grosser followed by Aamir’s previous release PK that collected Rs. 340.8 cr, Salman Khan’s Bajrangi Bhaijaan that collected Rs. 320.34 cr, Sultan that collected Rs. 300.45 cr and Dhoom 3 that collected Rs. 284.27 cr.
If that wasn’t all among the release that hit screens in 2016, Dangal once again tops the chart. In this segment the film is followed by Salman’s Sultan that collected Rs. 300.45, The Jungle Book that collected Rs. 188 cr, M. S Dhoni – The Untold Story that collected Rs. 133.04 cr and Airlift that collected Rs. 128.1 cr.
