Salman Khan, who has for the past decade, been involved in two major legal cases, one of the drink and drive accident as well as the other being the twin case of blackbuck and chinkara killings, has now received yet another bad news regarding the latter. The Supreme Court recently decided to accelerate the process of both the cases - namely the blackbuck and chinkara one and has issued a notice to Salman Khan.
Salman Khan – Chinkara case: SC decides to expedite the process of hearingEarlier, the Rajasthan High Court had found no strong evidence against Salman Khan and hence had decided to acquit the superstar from these charges. The High Court could not examine the major witness of the case – the driver who was present at the crime scene along with the rest of the actors driving the car. But due to his disappearance, the defense couldn’t cross examine followed by which the HC decided to relieve Salman Khan of all the charges on July 25.
However, the Rajasthan government decided to challenge the decision and even moved the apex court regarding the same. Now, with the Supreme Court intervening in the decision, the case will once again take a new turn. But the details of the next hearing are yet to be announced.
For the uninitiated, Salman Khan along with his co-stars Saif Ali Khan, Neelam, Sonali Bendre, Tabu were allegedly involved in the killing of blackbuck and chinkara in Rajasthan during the shoot schedule of the 1998 hit film Hum Saath Saath Hain.
