Following in the footsteps of some really popular films like Devdas, Kal Ho Na Ho and Lagaan, Ram Gopal Varma's Sarkar Raj is the latest Bollywood film to find a place in the prestigious Academy of Motion Pictures library (Oscar library).

The script of Sarkar Raj will be there permanently for the reference of students of cinema. Sarkar Raj, an intense film on politics which spoke about the power games people indulge in, featured all the three Bachchans i.e. Amitabh Bachchan, Abhishek Bachchan and Aishwarya Rai Bachchan together for the first time. The academy has got in touch with Ram Gopal Varma to produce the script. “Yes, the academy got in touch with me and Sarkar Raj is going to the library. I am happy to receive this honor,” says the maverick filmmaker.

The library has a collection of more than 32000 books, 1800 periodical titles, 60000 screenplays, over 8 million photographs, over 300 manuscripts and other special collections relating to prominent industry individuals, studios and organizations.

With such a prestigious honor RGV sure has reason to smile.
