Ashwini Bhave replaced in her comeback film

Remember Ashwini Bhave, the actress who acted in films like Randhir Kapoor’s Henna, Yash Chopra’s Parampara and was last seen in the Salman Khan starrer Bandhan?
The actress who wasn’t seen in Hindi cinema post Bandhan had shifted base to San Francisco, US after getting married. One wondered whether she would be seen back in Bollywood or Marathi cinema and then the day did come when she would set her sights on tinsel town once again.
Though it was kept under wraps, she had shot for a few days for Nagesh Kukunoor’s film Aashayein starring John Abraham. She was apparently given the role of a Christian Nun in the film. But director Nagesh who is known to extract performances from all his actors was not satisfied with her look and performance and she subsequently had to leave the film.
Her replacement now is Prateeksha Lonkar who earlier acted in Kukunoor’s films Iqbal and Dor.
“Nagesh wasn’t happy with what he saw and so he decided to go ahead with Prateeksha Lonkar. But there was no love lost and the two parted amicably”, says a source close to the unit.
