Tanuja has chosen Dia Mirza to play the younger version of Waheeda Rehman for the film she is shooting next with both the actresses. It’s not a feature film though but a public service video for a social cause. The video in favor of a girl child talks about how a girl should not be treated as a liability and the gender discrimination should be stopped.
The video narrates the story of a father who neglects her daughter throughout life and when the daughter subsequently matures into a socially eminent personality the father realizes his mistake. Dia will play the younger role and as the character grows old Waheedaji will take over.
