Then the wait is over since the musicians Vishal-Shekhar bring a dance number for you. ‘Desi Girl’ is electrifying all the way. Shankar, Sunidhi and Vishal impress a lot with the vocals. Excellently written lyrics by Kumar make the song more catchy. The composition is a class. A wonderful number to listen to.

High on attitude, the track features heavy mixing and synthesized sounds with little authentic backing. However, it's the half decent melody and Sunidhi Chauhan's smooth vocals that save this song from early retirement...

But credit must be given to them for incorporating their own brilliant touches instead of just rehashing blindly...

1 of 1 people found this review helpful The series of pleasant numbers doesn't end here. "Kuch Kum" takes it forward. Shaan renders the rhythmical and flowing number to perfection. "Kuch Kum" has some beautiful lyrics, courtesy Vishal Dadlani, who is determined to impress his fans. Listeners would not only like to hear this track repeatedly but would also look forward to watching it onscreen.

Shaan's rendition, while effective is nothing unique. The song basically sounds like something out of his personal album Aksar...

The feeling of companionship which was strongly felt from the songs of yesteryears superhit 'Dostana' is not there in the 2008 release 'Dostana'.

1 of 1 people found this review helpful Khabar Nahi is a soft soulful number; it's not hard to identify Amanat Ali's voice, his trademark alaaps fill the score. But, if you hear his previous film songs or his new album 'Tabeer', the improvisations seem to be more or less the same. Again, Khabar Nahi is spewed with Hinglish lyrics. Call it Vishal- Shekhars trademark sound.
