Reliance Entertainment, Plan C Studios, Cape Of Good Films, Friday Filmworks and Gulshan Kumar’s Naam Shabana is a story about a young lady named Shabana (Taapsee Pannu), who takes up the work of a secret agent after her boyfriend gets killed by a gang of well-connected youngsters.  In an attempt... to avenge the death of her boyfriend Jai (Taher Shabbir), she accepts the offer to join the team of Ranveer (Manoj Bajpayee), who happens to be an integral part of a team that believes in ‘national security at any cost’.

After she joins the secret service agency of Ranveer, Shabana encounters many uphill tasks, which risks her life very badly. Does she encounter all such difficulties and come out winner or does she backtrack mid-way, does she become successful in avenging the death of her boyfriend Jai is what forms the rest of the story.
