Raabta is a modern-day story of two seemingly ordinary people who have the most extraordinary experience when they realize that they are connected through a past experience of unrequited love, passion, adventure and treachery.

In the hip and thriving European city of Budapest, two strangers, Shiv (Sushant Singh Rajput) and Saira... (Kriti Sanon) are mysteriously drawn to each other and have a whirlwind of a hysterical romance. As they party through this bustling city, Saira questions the relationship more so because of how fast they have fallen so madly and deeply in love. Shiv effortlessly brings so much sunshine into her life that Saira feels this is too good to be true. Until, of course, the third angle to their relationship emerges in the form of Zak Merchant (Jim Sarbh), a billionaire playboy who goes all out to woo the beautiful yet strikingly down-to-earth Saira. She's floored by the attention and by Zak's suaveness.

But a prophecy from the past looms large over the destinies of Shiv, Zak and Saira in this life too. Will they manage to break this cursed cycle? Will destiny repeat itself? Will the lovers reunite or will they meet the same fate? Who does Saira belong to in this life? Zak or Shiv?
